Central partners with a couple of organizations to provide disaster relief in the aftermath of natural disasters.
Cleanup and Recovery Unit
Central has a fully equipped chainsaw/mud out trailer that is deployed at the request of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC). The members of this team have completed multiple levels of mandatory training through the SBTC.
This team also addresses local needs that arise in and around the Brazos Valley. Everyone, regardless of training, is able to assist with our local projects. This is a great opportunity to reach people in our own backyard who would never set a foot in a church or engage in a conversation about Jesus.
If you are interested in being a part of this team, please contact Derek at 979.575-4496.
Evacuation Shelter
Central also partners with the Brazos County Emergency Management Department to provide shelter for individuals and families who are forced to evacuate because of natural disasters. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, contact Mark at mstraznicky@cbcbryan.org for more information.
Central’s Missions Ministry seeks to equip and engage our body to reach out to the lost locally, nationally, and internationally. We believe that each and every believer is called to and is personally responsible for fulfilling the Great Commission.
