Angel Tree

Greetings!

This year, Central will continue to partner with Prison Fellowship to minister to kids and families during the Christmas season. For many of us, memories of the holiday season brings back thoughts of a joyful time spent with family, but for most of these families, there is an inward pain that is also present as these kids all have at least one parent who is in prison.

Each year, Central receives the names of approximately 300 kids who live in the Brazos Valley under such circumstances, and it is our hope to show them Christ’s love throughout the holiday season. Our church members purchase presents for each kid in the name of their parent who is in prison. We also invite the kids and their extended families to join us for a Christmas Dinner at Central, where our church members get to know them and their stories personally.

The evening starts with each family getting to take their own family portrait. A traditional Christmas meal is served, and that is followed by an act from the Chagy the Clown. When the dinner is all wrapped us, we then distribute the gifts to each of the kids.

Our goal is to have a church member at every table, so we need folks who want to get to know these families personally. We also need people to help serve the families throughout the evening. If you are interested in working with us to serve these families, please contact Mark S for more information.
